PureJewels scoops two gongs at Newham Chamber of Commerce awards

East London jeweller PureJewels has won gongs for e-commerce and innovation at the Newham Chamber of Commerce business awards on 6 November.

PureJewels won the e-commerce award in recognition of the 20% monthly growth in visits to its e-commerce site, which has transformed the retailer into one of the most visible suppliers of eastern-inspired jewellery in the UK.

As the only company winning more than one award on the night, PureJewels also won the best innovation category for its launch of masterclasses for its customers, a series of weekend courses supporting the creative industries held at its premises on Green Street.

Green Street is a hub for dozens of independent South Asian retail jewellers and fashion outlets.

PureJewels’ Green Street store and e-commerce site supply cutting-edge 22ct gold jewellery designs for British Asian weddings and a variety of innovative pieces, many of them gem-set.

“This is fantastic recognition for our company, and we’re really proud to have won these awards,” PureJewels CEO Jayant Raniga said after the event held at the Old Town Hall, Stratford.

The judges visited shortlisted applicants, including PureJewels, before selecting the winners.
