Lionite Mele Ltd T/A Mele & Co. is the UK and Europe’s foremost name in jewellery cases. The company was started back in 1912 by its founder Emidio Mele in New York City. In 1968 the company expanded into the UK and Europe when it opened its new office in Cardiff UK. In 2018 the UK and European side of the business was taken over with a management buyout and is now run from Cardiff.
Over the years it has developed many innovative designs in jewellery boxes, from the auto tray to the musical jewellery box with revolving ballerina.
Its full collection now offers jewellery cases and watch boxes in wood, bonded leather, glass, faux leather and vegan friendly PU. Other ranges include children’s musical boxes, photo frames, travel cases, candle holders, organisers, storage boxes, cosmetic bags and stationery items.
