On the back of its increasingly successful and well-attended member-only exhibitions, the Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) has announced an exciting evolution of its trade events for spring 2026.
The CMJ is set to launch a standalone trade show called Access, which will be free for any bricks-and-mortar retail jewellers in the UK and Ireland to attend. This one-day event on Tuesday 3 March 2026 will take place directly after the CMJ’s Spring Trade Event, adding value to CMJ suppliers’ show experience while also establishing a brand new Midlands-based trade show that the group believes has significant growth potential.
Michael Aldridge, CMJ chairman, said: “In September 2024 we introduced CMJ Pay as an incentive to encourage attendance to the CMJ Trade Event and guarantee there was money on the floor to be spent with CMJ suppliers who attend. This ensured that for the Autumn 2024 and Spring 2025 shows our retailer attendance was at a record high and therefore trade at the show, and following, for those suppliers in attendance, was strong.
“Our Autumn 2025 event is also on track for the same number of attendees and marks the third show in a row where all stands have sold out.
“Access will be a new trade event for the industry, owned and operated by the CMJ, which we believe will maximise our suppliers’ event experience and offer an additional trade route for their businesses.”
The plans for launching Access were implemented in two stages. The first stage was to reset the existing stand plan to ensure the floor space was being used efficiently – this has increased stand capacity by 12%. The second stage saw the CMJ consult with a group of its key suppliers, all of whom agreed that this is something that would benefit both their own businesses and the jewellery and watch industry as a whole.
CMJ suppliers have already been invited to book their stands for the show. Any jewellery and watch retailers who would like to find out more about attending the very first Access show are invited to register their interest here.
