To celebrate the coronation of King Charles III in May 2023, a new commemorative mark has been designed.
The new commemorative mark will be available from 1 March 2023 until 31 December 2024 from all four Assay Offices. The King’s Coronation Mark can be used with or without the current Date Letter mark and the cost of application in a standard size will be £1, in addition to the standard hallmarking charges.
To support the promotion of the King’s Coronation Commemorative Mark, Birmingham Assay Office has put together a retailer toolkit to include the following:
