Newry-based independent, Jack Murphy Jewellers has received the Team of The Year award in the Small Organisation at the annual Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards.
The black tie dinner and awards ceremony was held on Thursday 14th June at the striking Belfast Titanic attraction, with a record-breaking 620 guests in attendance. Presenting the ceremony were BBC broadcaster Karen Patterson and comedian Tim McGarry, with guest speaker Tim Dorsett, culture ambassador at Innocent Drinks.
The independent retailer beat off competition from nine other small businesses in their category to win the coveted award. Total entries in the Workplace & Employment Awards was reported to be just shy of 180, with 109 different businesses, public sector organisations and schools/colleges applying!
